Phase 1: Foundation
Establish the core architecture of Ironhold.
This includes setting up the underlying systems, tools, and frameworks that will power all future development. The focus is on stability, scalability, and ensuring we can build fast and safely.
Phase 2: Playable Core
Deliver the first internal playable version of Ironhold.
Basic gameplay loops, movement, and essential mechanics will be functional. This is where Ironhold starts feeling like a game rather than just engine work.
Phase 3: Interaction Systems
Expand player interactions, user interface, and system integration.
Social features, progression elements, and in-world interactions begin taking shape. This is where we start layering depth onto the playable core.
Phase 4: Gameplay Core
Refine the core gameplay experience. Combat,
AI behaviour and progression systems come into play. This phase transforms Ironhold from “playable” into something fun and engaging.
Phase 5: Stabilization & Ironhold finalization
Polish, optimize, and prepare Ironhold for long-term use as
our development foundation.
Bug fixing, performance improvements, and final adjustments ensure stability before we expand into future projects, such as Guardfall.
