Guardfall is now the official name of the project previously developed under the working title DAIKON.
Today marks the first official post on Guardfall.com, and the beginning of a more public chapter for the project.
Guardfall is an online fantasy RPG built around exploration, progression, gathering, combat, and player-driven identity. The goal is to create a world that feels familiar to players who grew up with classic online RPGs, while still giving Guardfall its own systems, tone, and long-term direction.
This is not a launch announcement, a release date, or a marketing push. It is the point where the project begins to move from private development into a more official public presence.
From DAIKON to Guardfall
DAIKON was the internal name used while the foundations of the game were being designed and built. It served its purpose during early development, but it was never intended to be the final public identity of the game.
Guardfall is the name going forward.
The change gives the project a proper world-facing identity: one that better fits the setting, the atmosphere, and the kind of game being built.
What Guardfall Is
Guardfall is being developed as a persistent online world with a strong focus on character progression, readable systems, and long-term play.
Players should expect a game built around:
-
Skills and resource gathering
-
Combat and equipment progression
-
Exploration and world interaction
-
Character identity and account progression
-
Social systems, moderation, and community safety
-
A world that can expand over time without losing its foundations
The intention is not to chase trends or build around short-lived mechanics. Guardfall is being designed as a long-term game with clear systems, stable infrastructure, and room to grow.
A More Official Development Phase
A large amount of early work has focused on the underlying systems needed to support the game properly. That includes the client, server, world handling, account flow, definitions, cache systems, tools, and the technical foundation required for an online RPG.
Most of that work has happened quietly.
Going forward, Guardfall.com will be used for official news, announcements, development updates, and important project milestones. Some updates may be small. Others may cover larger systems or visible progress. The aim is to keep communication clear, grounded, and useful.
Previous Development Posts
Before Guardfall.com, early development updates were posted on Radish.gg while the project was still using the DAIKON working name.
Those posts are not formal Guardfall announcements, and some details may change as the project continues to evolve. However, they remain useful for anyone who wants to look back at the earlier technical progress, design thinking, and development milestones that led to this point.

What Comes Next
The next stage is about continuing to turn the foundation into a playable game.
That means improving gameplay loops, expanding world interaction, refining the client, building out content, and preparing the systems needed for broader testing when the project is ready.
There is still a lot to do, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Guardfall is in active development, and this site will reflect that honestly.
For now, this post is a marker.
Guardfall is the name.
Guardfall.com is the official home.
And this is where the public record begins.
